COVID-19 Student Ebook
As my final assignment for my digital advertising class at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, I wanted to create an Ebook for students navigating the terrain of leaving the college campus life and beginning work as young professionals in the workplace. And in the spring of 2020, what a task was this. Navigating the world of finding full-time employment is a feat without a global pandemic going on, but with the added pressure of the COVID-19 virus, the shifting of the global economy, and the prominence of the digital world at our fingertips, there has never been a better recipe for confusion, fear, and frustration. So, 16 pages later and a whole lot of personal experience, factoids about the current global economy, and insight into the marketing industry from personal experience and personal connections, the Ebook was up and ready to inspire those who needed it to continue persevering through this time.
The Story
I have always been told that my positivity is contagious. But it wasn’t until my senior year of college that I realized that this characteristic isn’t just a cool fact about me or a funky personality trait, but rather a key skill and value that I bring into work environments, relationships, and projects. My inspiration behind the COVID-19 Student Ebook is to use that positivity, that strength, to build up the force of young professionals equipped and ready to enter the workplace as we prepare for the changes ahead.
Role
Design, edit, and publish Ebook from start to finish. Utilize InDesign for the Ebook layout, and online publishing tools to turn the pages into a fully functioning digital book. Strategize content and appropriate flow of materials to engage readers from start to finish.

“in a world of opportunity... don’t let the options overwhelm you. Either you choose to believe things will work out the way they should, or you don’t. There is no in between. Surrendering the fear of control and opening the possibility of the future is the first step in the pursuit of a life of fulfillment... and there is no time like the present to begin”
